Geschichte Der Sohn von Rambow (2007):
Der elfjährige Lee Carter, seines Zeichens Schulrabauke und aus schwierigen Familienverhältnissen stammend, hat nur einen einzigen Traum: Er will unbedingt den Wettbewerb der BBC für junge Filmemacher gewinnen. Bewaffnet mit einer Raubkopie von Rambo – First Blood macht Lee sich daran, ein actionreiches Remake des Streifens in Szene zu setzen. Schnell gewinnt er die Unterstützung und schließlich auch Freundschaft des gleichaltrigen Sonderlings Wills, der aus einer streng religiösen Familie stammt, in der Filme und Musik verboten sind. Doch Rambo - für Kinder denkbar ungeeignet und hyper-brutal - ist Wills Erweckungserlebnis: Er ist überzeugt, als Rambows Sohn – ein sprachliches Missverständnis – seinen Vater aus der Gefangenschaft retten zu müssen.
